Renee White Music Therapy offers individual and group music-based experiences to foster connection for cognitive wellness for older adults and their caregivers.

   

With our team of experienced certified music therapists, we provide:

  • Contractual facility and community-based music therapy experiences for individuals and groups

What could music therapy for older adults look like?


  • Therapeutic Singing to encourage vocal restoration, reminiscence, and social connection
  • Instrument Play ranging from simultaneous play with therapist to group drumming, to encourage motor control, reality orientation, and overall enjoyment
  • Movement to Music such as stretching and dance, to promote physical well-being

Learn vocal exercises & warmups to strengthen our voices and keep our respiratory systems strong.

Sing familiar & new songs, keeping our minds & memory active.

Move & groove while learning how rhythm can help coordination & balance.

In Harmony - A Music Integrated Support Program for people with dementia and their caregivers.


6 Weekly group music therapy sessions for individuals with Alzheimer's and related dementias.

Simultaneous provision of psycho-educational support for caregivers on coping with grief, loss and life

transitions through music.


 This group is facilitated by certified music therapist Renee White MTA and Owner of OPAL Counselling NL, Michelle Noftall C.C.C.

  • Run in 6 week session blocks

  • $225.00  per duo (insurance coverage available*)
